Meet Matt + Marko
Matt
Matt has over 25 years as a consulting professional spanning a variety of industries and areas of expertise. He is a business builder, communicator, leader of complex projects, and relationship builder. Most recently, Matt served as the President of Point B Property Development, a business unit he founded at the national management consulting firm to pursue real estate development projects and serve as owner’s rep for client projects. Prior to his 15 year run at Point B, Matt was a Principal at CGI, a global information technology consulting firm. He currently serves as the Board President for Free Arts for Abused Children of Arizona, a non-profit Matt is passionate about and has worked with for 5+ years. Matt has an MBA from Carnegie Mellon University and a BS in MIS from the University of Arizona. Matt lives in Phoenix with his wife and their two sons but at the first sign of summer heat usually sprints to the mountains of Utah to spook trout while fly fishing or just enjoy a cold one on the deck looking up at the mountains. He loves all things outdoors, travel, and sports.
Matt Hargis and Marko Slijepcevic are long-time friends and colleagues who have worked in the consulting industry for many years. We left the Big x environment to create a firm that is reflective of who we are and allows us to do the work we love, alongside people we love working with.

Marko
Marko has over 24 years as a consulting professional and has led client engagements in the utility, public services, higher education, nonprofit, retail, and semiconductor industries. Marko’s core strengths are building trusting relationships with clients, bringing leadership and structure to complex situations, and offering logical and practical advice to overcome problems and achieve objectives. Before starting Overlap Consulting, Marko was an executive leader at Point B and built the foundation of his career at KPMG Consulting/BearingPoint. He has an MBA from the University of Dayton and a BS in Accounting from Purdue University. Marko lives in Phoenix with his wife and their two children. When he’s not struggling to keep up with his domestic responsibilities, Marko enjoys a round of golf and a cold stout while rooting for the Pittsburgh Steelers, Penguins, and Manchester United (he used to root for the Pirates but still hasn’t recovered from Sid Bream breaking his heart in the 1992 NLCS).
